"I don't know what took me so long to sign up with Duet. I was keeping all of my records on my computer with a hodge podge of Excel, Word, and Outlook Express. It worked for awhile, but as my studio grew and my family life became more demanding after having my son, I need a central place where my students and parents could go and see everything at once.
I am still surprised at the time it saves me! My husband remarked that, aside from buying the piano, Duet is the smartest move I've made for the studio. My parents are already in love with the lesson notes and I have seen improvement in practicing. My older students love to receive the notes and the ability to log in themselves and see their practice log or calendar events. I've already had over half of my studio sign up for summer lessons and this would take me up to two weeks to schedule in years past!
My favorite feature so far, is the marriage of Paypal with Duet. When a parent pays with Pay Pal, Duet records the payment for me! The icing on the cake is having an easy to maintain website with this high tech accounting feature.
I still can't believe I only pay $24.95 per month! I used to work in accounting and the software they utlized would cost far more with many hidden fees.
I have also been impressed with the customer service and their swift and patient responses to my questions.

"I have been teaching piano for the past ten years, but it wasn't until I graduated from college about five years ago and was launched into full-time teaching that I realized the full job description of an independent music teacher. The Duet Customer Support staff is always there, too, answering any number of my questions with lightning speed. No studio is complete without Duet, and I would recommend it to any independent music teacher, no matter their instrument, background or technological experience.
